Meet Norlan & Uriel Chavarría – brothers from Nicaragua!

They’re the 4th generation of coffee farmers in the Chavarría family. Apart from their large farm El Progreso (10,5 ha) they also manage a smaller one – Linda Vista (1,5 ha). In their approach to growing coffee we can see respect to tradition as well as eagerness to learn new processes and improve to produce coffees of high quality. They are not afraid to experiment and stray away from the (for Nicaragua typical) washed process. Any innovations are first tried on their farm Linda Vista and what proves to be successful is then on a larger scale applied to El Progreso as well. With every harvest we can see improvement not only in coffee quality but also in day to day functioning.
