Most of the coffee farms here in Colombia are not situated right next to the main road. In fact, if you want to get to one of the farms, you usually have to overcome several obstacles. Most of the time, you have to drive for hours on unpaved roads. Sometimes you only can get to the farm in a Jeep or other 4×4 vehicle. Sometimes you just get stuck in the mud and 

have to wait for someone passing by in a heavy truck to tow you out. And sometimes you have to wait until cows or horses loaded with logs pass to be able to continue your way.

 

Fortunately, such obstacles are only a tax on all the beautiful countryside views you can enjoy all the way to your destination.
